Messaiah

​

Sitting for hours

Waiting for Messaiah to come,

Messaiah is a key person:

He deals with all and all deal with him.

Thick cloud,

And Yeruham blinking his lips.

Yehuda is looking at the watch,

And is rolling his eyes.

An office up north

Artsiely Ltd – consulting,

It is afternoon,

And outside world is running

Buzzing the buzzer which replies Bring us coffee.

 

Messaiah is neither coming

Nor phoning...

 

Silence all around,…

Five tense people,

Door is opening,

And Yardena is smiling,

Black is for Yehuda,

Tea for Artsiely Junior.

Yardena is going out,

Ezra keeps smoking,

So that slowly Time is flying.

Old Artsiely knows

That he has not been wrong,

Dripping with sweat

And thundering on his son.

 

Messaiah is neither coming

Nor phoning

 

Doorbell

Sawing the Air conditioner buzz,

Yeruham is jumping to the door,

Cutting the smoke,

Artsiely Junior

Is looking at his father’s side,

And at the very entrance appears

A police officer with a hat. in his hand,

And Yehudah is saying: Surely something happened,

And Yeruham is telling him: Police does not come just like that.

And the police officer tells that an accident has happened.

 

And therefore  Messaiah is neither coming,

Nor phoning...

 

An accident to whom?

Artsiely Junior is asking,

An accident to the State

The poor policeman is replying.

Stock exchange collapsed

People are jumping off the roof,

Messaiah jumped as well

And they announced that he had been killed.

All is lost .

Ezra Dahan the contractor is crying.

Messaiah is in Heavens,

And we are here with no money.

And beautiful Yardena is mumbling,

It cannot be…

 

Messaiah will neither come

Nor phone

 

Bitter December,

The newspaper  headlines screamed,

And minister of finance was interviewed in Mabat

People are stupid

And therefore they are paying,

Easily things come,

Easily things disappear either

The little layman

Is forced to pay big time,

But I am interested in

Yardena above all.

Going to the Reserves

Counting the non-existing money.
